Air Intake Solenoid Valve Removal/Installation
Air Intake Solenoid Valve Inspection
If the air intake solenoid valve [A] is normal, check the wiring for continuity (see Air Intake Solenoid Valve Circuit).
If the wiring is good, check the ECU for its ground and power supply (see ECU Power Supply Inspection in the Fuel System (DFI) chapter).
If the ground and power supply are good, replace the ECU (see ECU Removal/Installation in the Fuel System (DFI) chapter).

Measure the piston ring thickness.
Use the micrometer to measure at several points around
the ring.

Radiator Cap Inspection
Remove:
Radiator Cap (see Coolant Change in the Periodic Maintenance
chapter)
Check the condition of the bottom [A] and top [B] valve
seals and valve spring [C].
If any one of them shows visible damage, replace the cap
with a new one.
Install the cap [A] on a cooling system pr ...
Shift Drum Assembly
Press and insert the ball bearing [A] on the shift drum [B]
until it is bottomed.
Install:
Ball Bearing [C]
Dowel Pin [D] and Shift Drum Cam [E]
Align the pin with the groove in the shift drum cam.
Apply a non-permanent locking agent to the shift drum
cam holder bolt [F].
