There are a number of important precautions that are musts when servicing electrical systems. Learn and observe all the rules below.
Never replace a defective part without determining what CAUSED the failure. If the failure was caused by some other item or items, they must be repaired or replaced, or the new replacement will soon fail again.
Rear Shock Absorber Inspection
Press down on the seat several times
to inspect the stroke.
Visually inspect the rear shock absorber
for oil leaks.
If there is any doubt about the rear
shock absorber, it should be inspected
by an authorized Kawasaki
dealer.

Piston Wear Inspection
Measure the outside diameter [A] of each piston 5 mm
(0.20 in.) [B] up from the bottom of the piston at a right
angle to the direction of the piston pin.
If the measurement is under service limit, replace the piston.
