Brake Wear Inspection
Inspect the brakes for wear. For each front and rear disc brake caliper, if the thickness of either pad is less than 1 mm (0.04 in.), replace both pads in the caliper as a set. Pad replacement should be done by an authorized Kawasaki dealer.

Turn the torque limiter [A] by hand. The torque limiter
should turn forward freely [B], but should not turn backward.
If the starter clutch does not operate as it should or if it
makes noise, go to the next step.

Idle Speed Inspection
Start the engine and warm it up thoroughly.
With the engine idling, turn the handlebar to both sides
