NOTE
Be sure the battery is fully charged.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the subthrottle valve actuator connector and
connect the measuring adapter [A] between these connectors
as shown in the figure.

Starter Motor Disassembly
Remove the starter motor (see Starter Motor Removal).
Take off the starter motor through bolts [A] and remove
the both end covers [B].
Pull out the armature [A] out of the yoke [B].
NOTE
Do not remove the circlip [C] from the shaft.
Remove the starter motor terminal lock ...
Cylinder Head Cover Installation
Replace the cylinder head cover gasket [A] with a new
one
Using a high flash-point solvent, clean off any oil or dirt
that may be on the silicone sealant coating area. Dry
them with a clean cloth.
Apply silicone sealant [B] to the cylinder head as shown
in the figure.
