Brake Lever Position AdjustmentCam Wear Inspection
Remove the camshafts (see Camshaft Removal).
Measure the height [A] of each cam with a micrometer.
If the cams are worn down past the service limit, replace
the camshaft.

Oil Cooler Installation
Replace the O-ring [A] with a new one.
Apply grease to the new O-ring.
Install the water hoses and hose clamps [A] as shown in
the figure.

Radiator and Cooling Fan
Check the radiator fins for obstruction
by insects or mud. Clean off
any obstructions with a stream of
low-pressure water.
WARNINGThe cooling fan spins at high
speed and can cause serious
injuries. Keep your hands and
