Front Seat RemovalAir Suction Valve Installation
Install the air suction valve so that opening [A] of the reed
faces downward.
Apply a non-permanent locking agent to the threads of
the air suction valve cover bolts [A], and tighten them.
Torque - Air Suction Valve Cover Bolts: 9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m,
87 in·lb)

Fuel Hose Inspection (fuel leak, damage, installation condition)
If the motorcycle is not properly handled, the high pressure
inside the fuel line can cause fuel to leak [A] or the
hose to burst. Remove the fuel tank (see Fuel Tank Removal
in the Fuel System (DFI) chapter) and check the
fuel hoses.
Replace the fuel hose if any fraying, cracks [B] or ...
Starter Motor Installation
NOTICE
Do not tap the starter motor shaft or body. Tapping
the shaft or body could damage the motor.
Clean the starter motor legs [A] and crankcase where the
starter motor is ground.
Replace the O-ring [A] with a new one.
Apply grease to the new O-ring.
