Replace the KIBS hydraulic unit or main harness if either of the terminals are cracked, bent, or otherwise damaged.
If the KIBS hydraulic unit connector is clogged with mud or dust, blow it off with compressed air.
Replace the KIBS hydraulic unit if any of them are cracked, or otherwise damaged.

Cylinder Compression Measurement
NOTE
Use the battery which is fully charged.
Warm up the engine thoroughly.
Stop the engine.
Remove the spark plugs (see Spark Plug Replacement in
the Periodic Maintenance chapter).
Attach the compression gauge [A] and adapter [B] firmly
into the spark plug hole.

Starter Clutch Inspection
Remove:
Torque Limiter Cover (see Torque limiter Removal)
Turn the torque limiter [A] by hand. The torque limiter
should turn forward freely [B], but should not turn backward.
If the starter clutch does not operate as it should or if it
makes noise, go to the next step.
