Clutch Operation Inspection
Pull the clutch lever just enough to take up the free play
[A].
Measure the gap between the lever and the lever holder.
If the gap is too wide, the clutch may not release fully. If
the gap is too narrow, the clutch may not engage fully. In

Front Fork Oil Change
Remove the front fork (see Front Fork Removal (Each
Fork Leg)).
Turn the spring preload adjuster fully counterclockwise for
removing the piston rod assy easily.
Hold the inner tube lower end in a vise.
Using the wrench [A], unscrew the top plug [B] out of the
outer tube.

Spark Plug Condition Inspection
Remove the spark plugs (see Spark Plug Replacement in
the Periodic Maintenance chapter).
Visually inspect the spark plugs.
If the spark plug center electrode [A] and/or side electrode
[B] are corroded or damaged, or if the insulator [C]
is cracked, replace the plug.
